Alarm clocks! ***

I ...excuse my language...fucking hate them!
So I got up at 8:30am today. Not because I wanted to. But because my cousin who lives with me had her alarm go off that early. Most days its 9:30 but today was 8:30 and Im getting sick of waking up to her fucking alarm clock. Now your probably wondering what could possibly make me so upset about this well letme explain more.

My cousin is 32. Moved in with me in November. She didnt have a job, so she applied for all this free health care, food stamps, and stuff sometime in January and February. She got all of it, but they said she had to start applying to jobs. It was like every so many a week. So because she had to she did. She finally got a job at one of the local hotels as a maid or cleaning staff....great right? Well she quit 2 days later. It was a 9-5 job Mon-Fri cleaning hotel rooms. What the hell? I found out all this on Easter, from my parents. So she didnt even tell me. I dont really know what goes on because Im so busy with college and work Im hardly ever home.

Ok so then she gets a call from the census to get hired there. Great right? Well her car breaks down because its a huge piece of shit. And when I say break I mean completely broke. Gas leaking, no emergency break, big ass wagon type from like the 1970s banged up from every angle broke! Yet her parents from Ohio are driving in to take the car BACK to Ohio to fix it. Now Im no car expert, but I think just junking the gas guzzling thing would be cheaper. Then buy some used car with potential and fix it up. So the census job starts like next week and she rides her bike 4 miles to walmart to buy all her groceries so we'll see how that goes...

And I cant forget her boyfriend. Yes to top the rest off her boyfriend comes to visit at least once a week, because she cant go see him now. She'll make him dinner with all her delicious free food. Then go up in her room that is directly next to mine with shitty ass thin walls and laughs with him till 1-2 in the morning.

Now back to the alarm clock thing, now that I've shed some light on the situation. So she has no job, no car, nowhere to be, but she has an alarm. Set for 8:30 -9:30 in the morning! And its not the fact that she has an alarm. Its the fact that she fucking lets it ring, ring, ring, ring! She will let it run out so that every five minutes it will go off again. And this process goes on every day for almost an hour!
Yesterday I worked 10-7, which is a double shift for a college student. And they even called me in early. They wanted me to come in at 7:30, but I have my phone set for "alarm only" mode so I didnt hear my phone go off when they called. However when her alarm woke me up 9:30 I saw they called and went in. So I was exhausted last night from working all day and doing homework then I wake up to it at 8:30. Im just so mad right now.

I never let my alarm ring more than once to wake me up then I shut it off. I maybe hit Snooze once or twice a month. I understand we just get "those" kind of days. I just think its incredibly rude to let it ring and hit snooze for almost an hour EVERYDAY to the point where Im spending weekends at my boyfriends house, because it used to wake me up on the weekends and Im getting sick of it now. So a tip for you all, be courteous with your alarm clocks as they are extremely obnoxious!

An update on everything at the moment

Here is a pic (from my cellphone as I lost my digital camera :[ ) of some of my stuff from swapbot that I need to open, rate, and reply.  There is some postcards, letters, pretty envelopes, and little stuffie. I have fallen behind on ALL swaps due to the Easter holiday past, college, work and my upcoming birthday.

Tests from Tuesday classes went awesomely horrible. I never seem to know the right stuff. Despite my efforts of studying a study-guide provided by the professor, they somehow manage to not include some of its parts on the test, thus equaling my miserable fail at a good grade. I knew I needed to do good on these tests to bring up my disappointing midterm grades. Well hopefully I will see the damage tomorrow, if we get them back. Not particularly excited for classes tomorrow. As of right now I should be doing some other homework, but debating on waking up early and doing it before class, during a boring class tomorrow, or just not doing it at all until tomorrow night. Haven't decided yet. So thats that for college.

Work...well I'll save work for another blog post or 2 or 3 because I have a lot to bitch about. That post will be vulgar on more than one account. Guaranteed. However it was long today. My normal shift is 11-3 at the grill and 4-7 in the dishroom. They called me at 7:30am to come in and I cant tell you how thankful I am that my cell was set for "alarm only" so that call went straight to voicemail. Where it belonged. I did however go to work about an hour before my shift and let me tell you that  was enough for me...

Took my friend to the Casino today. Probably got her hooked like me. Pretty lights, loud noise, touchy screens and possibly free money! It was my birthday present to her. She just turned 18. I wanted to take her because shes involved in alot of school activities and her parents dont let her get out much. So I wanted her to have a little fun once in awhile. She didnt play with much, maybe $8 and didnt win anything. I was playing with only like $5, because I know I get hooked easily. Besides I have to save money for my birthday and my apartment. I got a bonus thing just as we were leaving and cashed out around $10.

Checked online and in the paper yesterday for apartments. Probably could have posted bout that. Nothing yet. Just got some numbers and some places I plan on checking out within the next couple weeks to narrow down my options and set a budget. *I cant wait to get out of here and have my own place*

As for my birthday that I've been going on and on about through this post. Well heres the birthday plans: Fri.16th to Sat 17th My mom booked a hotel room in Niagara Falls with a 2 bedroom suite with a fallsview! The hotel even has a spa that I cant wait to go and get a nice long massage in hopefully! Then Saturday we come home and at night we're all going out to the local bars. It is also a few of my friends from college birthdays as well who  are also going out. So that should all be fun. Lots of April birthdays! My boyfriend invited all my friends by making a cute little Facebook event for me :] how sweet of him. Hopefully I dont get too drunk though because Sunday my birth-mom is having a party grill/cook-out at her place (O yea Im adopted) And my real birthday isn't until the 19th (lol) and Im turning 20! :] So Im super excited about this weekend, except the fact that I was told it is suppose to rain ALL weekend. Argh!  >:{

And so far about my blog...well Im starting to get bored off this background. So thats needs to change. I started following some blogs that Im interested in, which there is a list over to the right so you can check them out too if you like. I discovered I have a few followers, hoping to gain more. I recently added that nice swap-bot graphic/link from the website to advertise a little for them and hope to get others as hooked as I am because it is just so great. I will probably be posting a lot about it with update on the swaps I make for it. I found a website through someone else's blog where you can get a "counter".  I picked out the one and put it at the top of the page. Its a nice little touch to see how many times my blog is viewed. Well theres more to come so sit tight! :]

This will be a first and test post from my samsung rogue cellular telephone ~ Over & Out <3

And there was one...

blog post. The first They called it. Some ramblings to announce the beginning. Of something new. So I'll go over a few things. This is a homework assignment for my computer Science Overview class. That is the purpose of the title or header of my blog. Assignment#3, which is exactly what the assignment was called. I titled my blog this way as I was lacking in creative names, couldn't really think of what direction I would take with this or where the path would lead for this blog. I can and might change the title further down the road as my blog develops into something. So for now I just thought Assignment#3 was cleverly classic enough to pass.

I rushed out a blunted truth synopsis of the my intentions underneath the title. Then under that is that cute little aquarium looking box with floating fish that follow your cursor and if you click you can feed them. The purpose of this is simply: entertainment & cuteness ^_^ While browsing through gadgets to fill out my site with I find it and had to put it in, not to mention my love for animals which I described in my 'about me' section. I included a recent enough pic of my all dressed up when me and some friends went out to the bars (you might get alot of stories about that, lol) O which reminds me I might talk in text once in awhile as it is habit. I even did the whole nifty thing where you can type a text and send it right to your blog to be posted. Figured it would come in handy when Im sitting in a boring class I could text/blog about boring it is and what I would rather be doing :P I also like keyboard faces, get use to it!

I listed a few of my favorite websites under the 'about me' section. And as of right now I only have two, more will be added later. The first is Postcrossing. Postcrossing is a FREE website where you send and recieve postcards from across the world! You sign-up give your name, mailing address, and create a short profile. When you first start off your only allowed to send 5 postcards at a time to make sure you truly want to participate in this big thing. So you request and address and you will be randomly assigned a person somewhere in the world with a special code that must be written on the postcard. So when the person you are sending to recieves the postcard they type in that special code and it registers it and it makes your address available to anyone in the world. So the process keeps repeating itself. The purpose of the codes are to keep track of your could call it. It tracks how far each postcard has traveled, maps the location, days it took to reach its destination, and so on...A great thing about the site besides all the previous neat features I've already described is the fact that after so long an address will be thrown back into the system. So for for example, someone requests and address but never ends up sending a postcard to that other person. After so many days of that other person not registering that special code that was assigned their address is put back into the system until someone requests it again. Its great if your patient. I've received postcards from China, London, Israel and other exotic locations. You can also get postcards from inside the USA too if you choose. Postage varies depending on location. If you decide on joining check out my profile, my username is [jessicak13]. Its something cheap & interesting you can join for FREE, so check it out by clicking the link!

The other website Swap-bot is an international swap site. Its FREE to join. You create a username and a profile. When you first start off you can only join about 5 swaps until you've completed so many swaps. You join into any swap of your liking, but you must fit swap requirements and your generated a random person who also joined that swap. Then you complete the swap by following any rules or guidelines and send out the swap by the swap deadline. Each swap varies on type of craft, requirements, time period. Swaps can include: letters, journals, art, fabric, dolls, supplies, postcards, crafts, etc...almost anything imaginable like that. Time periods vary depending on the craft for example a journal craft will obviously take longer than writing a letter to a penpal. After awhile you can sign-up for as many swaps as you like and even host your own. There is also groups to join and forums to participate in. This site is also international. If you decide on joining check out my profile, my username is [jessicak13] I have received some very beautiful and creative crafts from this site. So please check it out!

Then under those links I put in a quick poll. just something I whipped up. A gadget I found. I thought it would help me to improve and continue with my blog page. So just take a second to vote how you really feel about my blog. Under that is I think the search bar where you can see my posts for something particular. (I know its useless now as I've just started) I also have my list of followers and my archive which are both empty as I just created my blog, but will hopefully fill up with time as well as everything else...

Well I think thats it and I really should be doing other things like studying for my "second midterm" tests tomorrow rather than writing this blog lol So I hope you enjoyed my first post. Please feel free to leave me any comments, opinions, tips or anything. I will be checking back and posting more until then...this is where I have to come up with my signature sign-off as all great news anchors have (Anchorman)... :]
